Here are a few of our favorite quotes. Hope you enjoy…

“Bread is the king of the table and all else is merely the court that surrounds the king. The countries are the soup, the meat, the vegetables, the salad but bread is king.” – Louis Bromfield

“Good bread is the most fundamentally satisfying of all foods; and good bread with fresh butter, the greatest of feasts.” – James Beard

“What must you break apart in order to bring a family close together? Bread, of course.” – Jodi Picoult

This winter we’re going to surprise our long time customer Thelma, owner of Buck’s Market in the British Virgin Islands, when we hand deliver her granola order.

Buck’s Market is a provisioning market for yachts sailing through the Virgin Islands. They’ve been buying our granola for many years but we’ve yet to meet in person.

If you’ve never been to Big Sky Montana you need to add it to your bucket list. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the world, plus it has the best wheat on the planet.

“Big Sky, Montana is a world-class Rocky Mountain community, a hidden outdoor playground, and a magical year-round mountain destination for families, couples, and groups. It’s home to The Biggest Skiing in America, with the most skiable terrain in the U.S. with two inter-connected world-class ski resorts, the Gallatin River, with whitewater rafting and blue ribbon trout fishing, and numerous lodging and dining opportunities, from guest ranches to mountain homes.”

We sponsored a race team from Orlando, Florida to compete in the 2008 Primal Quest race in Big Sky Montana. (you can see our “Naturally Gnarly” and “Crunch Time” stickers on their helmets.) Their primary source of fuel was Big Sky Granola which they called the perfect blend of protein, carbs, and nutrients to get them through this demanding course.

Primal Quest is a 500 mile, 10 day adventure race and has been called one of the most difficult athletic events in the world. The video below shows the layout of the Montana course.
